Freedom On This July 4th Weekend

Freedom! What a great word!

Aunt Milly served her country as a Lt. Col. nurse in the Air Force to help us have the freedom we have today! Milly had a squadron of nurses that reported to her with all kinds of stories that dealt with "Freedom" in their relationships with their partners, their co-workers, and their God and their country! Her husband John was a Colonel who flew planes fighting to keep our freedom for our country and also oversaw a base in Korea! This weekend with all the celebrations going on has given me time to reflect the true meaning and how it plays a part in all phrases of our lives. The current situation with many troops overseas still has an impact on all of us.

I do want to share a few thoughts about "freedom" with our minds and our words and our thoughts! Are you imprisoned by your ego or your thoughts that keep you chained to the past?
My belief is by staying in the present and not the past it gives you freedom. Negative thinking and choice of negative words keeps a person in chains versus positive thoughts, words and feelings allows flow and ultimately freedom.

We also have freedom to choose the relationship we are in too! Relationships whether at work or home, should be respectful of each other so that allows the freedom for a person to feel that they can express themselves without being judged! Relationships give us opportunity to love and show compassion and give others freedom. Does this describe your feelings or do your words used indicate a sense of ego and control more than "freedom" with unconditional love? After all we are all one and we are spiritual beings in physical form.

So this weekend and every day as you take time out to reflect about "freedom", express gratitude to all in your life! Take time out to include a special thanks to those who have served our country! Reflect on your choice of words and thoughts and how you use those words around others. Stay positive and not judge so that a person can truly feel free enough to express themselves and have freedom of choice with their thoughts, words and beliefs! After all we have been to war to have "freedom"!

Have a great day and thanks to all the veterans that have served so we can have our freedom today!
